- 1 pcsEgg
- 30 mlRum
- 146 gSugar
- 352 gFlour
- 900 gApple
- 150 mlWine
- 1 pcsLemon zest
- 1 pcsCinnamon stick

Make the dough
- Cream the butter until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg and rum.
- Gradually add the sugar and flour and mix to a smooth dough.
- Press the dough into a greased 24–26 cm springform, leaving a slightly higher edge.

Poach the apples briefly
- Peel, core and cut apples into 8 wedges.
- Combine wine, 50 g sugar, lemon zest and the cinnamon stick in a pan, add the apple wedges and simmer until tender but not falling apart (about 5–8 minutes).
- Remove apples and let cool. Reduce the cooking liquid until syrupy.

Assemble and bake
- Arrange the cooled apple slices in overlapping concentric circles on the dough.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C (top/bottom heat) for about 30–40 minutes until golden and cooked through.
- Warm the reduced apple syrup and drizzle it over the apples when serving.
