Ingredients

  • 180 gApple
  • 180 mlBourbon
  • 28 gButter
  • 15 mlLemon juice
  • 50 gSugar
  • 1.25 gAllspice
  • 0.4 gClove
  • 1.25 gCinnamon

    Prepare

    • Peel, core and cut the apple into 12 even slices.
    • Melt the butter and squeeze fresh lemon juice.

    Season

    • Mix sugar, ground allspice, ground cloves and cinnamon in a small bowl.
    • Sprinkle the spice-sugar mixture over the apple slices and toss to coat evenly.

    Sauté

    • Preheat a small stainless-steel skillet over medium-high heat.
    • Add the spiced apple slices and sauté, turning occasionally, until lightly browned.
  4. 4

    Deglaze & Finish

    • Add the bourbon to the pan and deglaze, scraping up any browned bits.
    • Bring to a boil and cook, stirring occasionally, until apples are fork-tender and sauce is slightly reduced.
    • Serve immediately while warm.
