- Peel, core and cut the apple into 12 even slices.
- Melt the butter and squeeze fresh lemon juice.

- Mix sugar, ground allspice, ground cloves and cinnamon in a small bowl.
- Sprinkle the spice-sugar mixture over the apple slices and toss to coat evenly.

Sauté
- Preheat a small stainless-steel skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the spiced apple slices and sauté, turning occasionally, until lightly browned.

Deglaze & Finish
- Add the bourbon to the pan and deglaze, scraping up any browned bits.
- Bring to a boil and cook, stirring occasionally, until apples are fork-tender and sauce is slightly reduced.
