  • 200 gRice
  • 960 mlMilk
  • 100 gSugar
  • 5 mlVanilla extract
  • 1 pcsCinnamon
  • 30 gNut
  • 30 gRaisin

    Method

    • Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Drain well.
    • Combine rice, milk, sugar, vanilla extract and the cinnamon stick in a saucepan.
    • Bring mixture to a gentle simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
    • Reduce heat to low and simmer for about 30–40 minutes until the rice is cooked and the mixture is creamy, stirring regularly.
    • Remove from heat and discard the cinnamon stick.
    • Spoon into serving bowls or cups.
    • Sprinkle with ground cinnamon and garnish with chopped nuts and raisins as desired.
    • Serve warm or chilled.
