Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 180 °C (350 °F).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

Make the dough
- In a large bowl, mix the peanut butter, sugar and egg with a spoon or spatula until smooth.

Shape and pattern
- Scoop spoonfuls of dough and roll into balls.
- Place balls on the prepared sheet about 3–4 cm apart.
- Flatten each ball with a fork, then press again at 90° to create a criss-cross pattern.

Bake and cool
- Bake cookies for 8–10 minutes until the bottoms are lightly golden.
- Remove from the sheet and cool completely on a rack.
