- 500 gChicken breast
- 10 gMasala
- 240 mlLemon
- 6 gSalt
- 45 mlOil
- 165 gOnion
- 48 gChili
- 2.5 gTurmeric
- 303.5 gBell pepper
- 3.5 gCoriander
- 369 gTomato
- 7 gGinger
- 21 gGarlic

Marinate
- Combine the chicken with lemon juice, masala and salt in a bowl.
- Marinate in the fridge for at least 1 hour.

Brown the chicken
- Heat the oil in a large pot or deep skillet.
- Fry the marinated chicken in batches for 5–7 minutes until golden.
- Remove and set aside.

Onions & spices
- Sauté the chopped onions in the remaining oil.
- Add red chili powder, turmeric, smoked paprika and coriander and cook until fragrant.

Tomatoes & aromatics
- Add tomatoes, ginger and garlic.
- Cook until tomatoes soften and start to break down.

Finish
- Stir in ketchup and soy sauce.
- Return the fried chicken to the pot.
- Add green chiles and sliced green peppers and simmer until cooked through.

Serve
- Serve hot over steamed rice.
- Garnish if desired.
