- 200 mlCream
- 100 mlWine

Soak rolls
- Cut the small rolls or milk buns in half horizontally.
- Briefly soak the halves in cold milk until softened (about 1–3 minutes), then let drain in a sieve or on kitchen paper.

Fry
- Melt butter in a pan over medium heat until it starts to foam.
- Place the soaked roll halves cut-side down, turn once and fry both sides golden brown (about 2–4 minutes per side).
- Arrange the fried rolls on a plate.

Sugar-cinnamon and serve
- Mix sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle over the hot rolls.
- Serve with whipped cream or optionally prepare the wine sauce (see below). Best served warm.

Optional wine sauce
- Bring wine with sugar to a boil in a small saucepan and reduce briefly (2–3 minutes).
- Mix cornstarch with a little cold water and stir into the boiling liquid, cook briefly until slightly thickened.
- Optionally whisk in 15 g cold butter and serve warm with the rolls.
