Ingredients

- 400 gBeef
- 1 pcsChili pepper
- 2 tbspOyster sauce
- 10 gBasil
- 300 gRice

Cook the rice
- Rinse 300 g long-grain rice under cold water until clear.
- Combine rice with 600 ml water in a pot, bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer covered for 12–15 minutes. Remove from heat and let rest 5 minutes.

Stir-fry the beef
- Heat a wok or large frying pan until very hot, add 2 tbsp vegetable oil and swirl.
- Add 400 g beef strips and 1 sliced red chilli.
- Stir constantly until the meat is lightly browned, about 3 minutes.

Sauce and finish
- Pour 2 tbsp oyster sauce over the meat and cook, stirring, until heated through and the sauce coats the meat (1–2 minutes).
- Stir in a handful (≈10 g) basil leaves and serve immediately with the rice.
