Ingredients

  • 675 gChicken breast
  • 14 gMustard seed oil
  • 50 mlMilk
  • 150 mlYogurt
  • 30 mlLemon
  • 15 gTomato paste
  • 4 gCoriander
  • 20 gGarlic
  • 20 gChili pepper
  • 5 gBell pepper
  • 5 gGaram masala
  • 2.3 gCumin
  • 1.15 gTurmeric
  • 5 gSalt

Instructions

    Prepare the marinade

    • Put all ingredients except the chicken into a non-metal bowl and mix well until smooth.

    Marinate the chicken

    • Add the chicken cubes to the marinade and mix until fully coated.
    • Refrigerate covered for at least 24 hours (48 hours for best results with fresh chicken).

    Cook

    • For best results thread onto skewers and cook in a tandoor/oven or under a medium grill for 5–8 minutes per side until cooked through.
    • Alternatively grill or pan-fry until fully cooked.

    Serve

    • Serve hot with naan, rice or use in a Chicken Tikka Masala.
    • Garnish with fresh cilantro and lemon wedges if desired.
