- Thinly shred the white cabbage
- Core the apple and cut into fine matchsticks
- Peel and finely dice the onion
- Roughly chop the parsley

- Cut bacon into strips
- Render in a pan over medium heat until crisp
- Drain briefly on paper towels
- Keep the fat in the pan
