Ingredients

  • 200 gRomaine lettuce
  • 400 gTomato
  • 200 gPineapple
  • 300 gOrange
  • 200 gBanana
  • 80 gMayonnaise
  • 2 gSalt
  • 1 gPepper

    Preparation

    • Wash and dry the romaine lettuce and halve the heads.
    • Peel (if desired), core and slice the tomatoes thinly.
    • Peel and core the pineapple and cut into small slices.
    • Supreme the oranges (remove peel and membranes) to obtain segments.
    • Peel and slice the bananas.
    • Lightly season the prepared fruit and lettuce with salt and freshly ground pepper.

    Plating

    • Place the halved romaine heads on a serving platter as a base.
    • Alternate slices of tomato, pineapple, orange segments and banana on the romaine halves to form an even, colorful pattern.
    • Press gently so the arrangement stays in place.

    To serve

    • Serve the light mayonnaise in a small sauceboat at the side so guests can help themselves.
    • Optionally finish with freshly ground pepper.
