Ingredients

  • 720 gChicken breast
  • 30 mlOlive oil
  • 12 gSalt
  • 2 gPepper
  • 6 gLemon zest

Instructions

    Prepare

    • Preheat the oven to 200 °C.
    • Prepare a baking pan (approx. 33 x 23 cm) or line with parchment paper.

    Season

    • Brush both sides of the chicken breasts with olive oil.
    • Sprinkle both sides liberally with kosher salt, freshly ground black pepper, and finely grated lemon zest.

    Bake

    • Place the breasts on the prepared baking pan.
    • Optionally insert a probe thermometer into one breast. Bake in the center of the oven at 200 °C until internal temperature reaches 75 °C (about 15–25 minutes depending on thickness).
  4. 4

    Rest and serve

    • Remove to a plate and let rest for 5 minutes so juices redistribute.
    • Serve warm (e.g. with salad, roasted vegetables or rice).
