- 360 mlTomato sauce
- 450 gMozzarella
- 225 gRicotta
- 110 gParmesan
- 1 pcsEgg
- 3 tbspBasil

Preparation
- Preheat oven to 225 °C. Coat a large baking dish with 1 tbsp (15 ml) olive oil.

Mix ricotta filling
- Stir ricotta, the beaten egg, 3 tbsp basil, 2 tbsp oregano and 3 tbsp parsley and about half of the mozzarella and Parmesan in a large bowl until well combined.
- Season with salt and pepper.

Cook pasta
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
- Cook ziti until al dente, then drain well.

Combine and assemble
- Toss the hot pasta with marinara sauce and optional red pepper flakes until coated.
- Stir in the ricotta mixture until it begins to melt, then transfer to the greased baking dish.

Top and bake
- Sprinkle remaining mozzarella and Parmesan on top and then the breadcrumbs.
- Bake at 225 °C for about 20 minutes until cheese is golden and bubbling.
