  • 30 mlWhole milk
  • 1 pcsEgg
  • 90 gBreadcrumbs
  • 3 gSalt
  • 710 gRavioli
  • 720 mlVegetable oil
  • 5 gParmesan
  • 450 gTomato sauce

    Preparation

    • Whisk milk and egg together in a small bowl.
    • Place breadcrumbs and salt in a shallow bowl.
    • Dip thawed ravioli into the milk-egg mixture, then coat with breadcrumbs.

    Heat sauce

    • Heat the marinara sauce in a large saucepan over medium heat until bubbling, about 5–10 minutes, then reduce to low to keep warm.

    Fry ravioli

    • Pour vegetable oil into a large heavy pan to a depth of about 5 cm (about 720 ml).
    • Heat oil to about 190 °C.
    • Fry the breaded ravioli in batches for about 1 minute per side, until golden.
    • Drain on paper towels.

    Serve

    • Sprinkle the fried ravioli with grated Parmesan and serve immediately with hot marinara sauce.
