Preparation
- Peel and dice the potato into roughly 1–2 cm cubes.
- Cook bacon strips until crisp and crumble into small pieces.
- Drain the canned green beans, reserving about 1/2 cup (125 ml) of the liquid.

Assemble and season
- Place beans, about 1/2 cup of the reserved bean liquid, potato and crumbled bacon in a microwave-safe baking dish.
- Sprinkle onion powder and salt evenly over the top.
- Cover loosely with cling film (poke a small vent) or use a microwave-safe lid.

- Microwave on high 5 minutes.
- Stir and microwave another 5 minutes.
- Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
