Prepare the meat
- Pass the beef cubes (chuck and sirloin) through a meat grinder set to fine. If you don't have a grinder, finely chop or use pre-ground beef (total 450 g).
- Mix the ground beef briefly, divide into 4 equal portions and shape into patties about 112–125 g each.
- Brush the patties with olive oil and season both sides liberally with steak rub (or salt and pepper).

Grill the patties
- Preheat grill to high heat.
- Grill the patties 3–4 minutes per side for medium-rare, 5–6 minutes for medium, 7–8 minutes for well-done.
- Place a slice of cheese on each patty during the last minute to melt.

Assemble and serve
- Place each patty on the bottom half of a bun.
- Top with desired toppings (lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles) and sauces (ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise).
- Cover with the top bun and serve immediately.
