  • 600 gCucumber
  • 70 gOnion
  • 150 gTomato
  • 120 mlVinegar
  • 120 mlWater
  • 5 gSalt

    Preparation

    • Peel the cucumbers as desired (fully or partially for a striped look).
    • Slice the cucumbers about ½ cm (¼ inch) thick.
    • Peel and dice the white onion (or slice green onion as an alternative).
    • Wash and dice or wedge the tomato.

    Make the dressing

    • Mix the white vinegar and water in a bowl.
    • Add salt and stir until dissolved. Adjust the vinegar-water ratio to taste.

    Combine and chill

    • Place cucumber, onion and tomato in a bowl.
    • Pour the vinegar-water dressing over so the vegetables float in clear liquid.
    • Refrigerate (at least 30 minutes) and serve cool while still crisp.
