Prepare
- Preheat the oven to 175 °C.
- Grease a baking dish (about 20x20 cm) with butter or oil.
- Cook the macaroni in plenty of salted boiling water until al dente, then drain and set aside.

Make the filling
- Beat the eggs until slightly fluffy.
- Add grated cheese, evaporated milk, finely chopped onion, grated carrot, salt, white pepper, mustard and melted butter to the eggs.
- Stir in the drained macaroni and mix well until combined.

Bake
- Transfer the macaroni mixture into the prepared dish and smooth the top.
- Sprinkle additional grated cheese and breadcrumbs evenly over the top.
- Bake at 175 °C for about 30 minutes, until the surface is golden and a skewer inserted into the center comes out dry.
- Let rest for about 5 minutes before serving.
