- 60 gBarbecue sauce

Sauté the vegetables
- Heat olive oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
- Add onion, green bell pepper and shredded carrot and cook 3–4 minutes until softened.

Finish the filling
- Add cooked brown rice, chili beans (undrained) and barbecue sauce to the pan.
- Stir to combine and cook 10–15 minutes over medium heat, stirring frequently until heated through. Season to taste.

- Spoon the warm bean-and-rice mixture onto hamburger buns and serve immediately.
- Optional: garnish with chopped parsley, pickles or extra barbecue sauce.
