- 250 gMozzarella
- 250 gTomato
- 10 gBasil
- 45 mlOlive oil
- 5 gSalt

Prepare
- Roughly cut the mozzarella.
- Half or roughly chop the tomatoes and put them together with the mozzarella in a large salad bowl.

Season and rest
- Tear the basil and sprinkle over the mozzarella and tomatoes.
- Drizzle olive oil, add salt and black pepper and gently mix.
- Cover the bowl and let rest at room temperature for at least 30 minutes to develop a light dressing.

Cook pasta
- Bring a large pot of water to a boil (salt if desired).
- Cook fresh egg pasta al dente according to package instructions (about 2–4 minutes).
- Drain pasta, reserving some cooking water.

Serve
- Add the hot pasta to the bowl with tomatoes, mozzarella and basil.
- Toss well, adding a little reserved cooking water if needed so the sauce coats the pasta.
- Serve immediately.
