Prepare
- Roughly chop the tomatoes and cucumber, finely chop the onion.
- Bring 2 liters of water to a boil in a large pot.

Cook pasta
- Add salt to the boiling water.
- Add spaghetti to the boiling water and cook for 4 minutes.

Finish with vegetables
- Add chopped tomatoes and cucumber to the boiling pasta.
- Boil for another 5 minutes until pasta is cooked and vegetables are slightly tender.

Drain and mix
- Drain pasta and vegetables well in a colander.
- Add butter or oil and mix, then stir in the chopped onion.

- Stir in tomato sauce or ketchup, taste and serve immediately.
