  • 500 gPotato
  • 300 gSauerkraut
  • 200 gOnion
  • 150 mlOat drink
  • 12 gRapeseed oil
  • 10 gMustard
  • 2 gCaraway
  • 2 gPaprika powder
  • 1 gPepper
  • 6 gSalt

Instructions

    Cook potatoes

    • Peel and dice potatoes
    • Boil in salted water until tender
    • Drain and let steam off briefly

    Fry onions

    • Peel onions and cut into thin rings
    • Heat oil and fry onions until golden
    • Stir in paprika and toast briefly

    Warm sauerkraut

    • Drain sauerkraut
    • Warm in a pot with caraway and pepper
    • Simmer briefly

    Finish mash

    • Roughly mash the potatoes
    • Stir in oat drink and mustard
    • Fold in sauerkraut and season
    • Serve topped with fried onions
