Preparation
- Clean and slice the mushrooms.
- Mince the garlic and dice the onion.
- Brush steaks with olive oil and season both sides generously with salt and freshly ground black pepper.

Grill the steaks
- Preheat grill or grill pan to high.
- Add steaks and cook 4–5 minutes per side for medium-rare. Rotate 90° halfway to create grill marks.
- Let steaks rest 2–3 minutes before serving.

Sauté the mushrooms
- Melt butter in a large straight-sided skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add garlic and keep moving it until golden.
- Add onion and mushrooms and cook, tossing occasionally, until mushrooms are browned. Season with salt and pepper.
