Ingredients

  • 800 gSteak
  • 105 gMushroom
  • 30 gButter
  • 15 mlOlive oil
  • 10 gGarlic
  • 40 gOnion
  • 5 gSalt
  • 2 gPepper

    Preparation

    • Clean and slice the mushrooms.
    • Mince the garlic and dice the onion.
    • Brush steaks with olive oil and season both sides generously with salt and freshly ground black pepper.

    Grill the steaks

    • Preheat grill or grill pan to high.
    • Add steaks and cook 4–5 minutes per side for medium-rare. Rotate 90° halfway to create grill marks.
    • Let steaks rest 2–3 minutes before serving.

    Sauté the mushrooms

    • Melt butter in a large straight-sided skillet over medium-high heat.
    • Add garlic and keep moving it until golden.
    • Add onion and mushrooms and cook, tossing occasionally, until mushrooms are browned. Season with salt and pepper.

    Serve

    • Serve steaks with the sautéed mushrooms and desired sides.
