Cook the pasta
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the rotini according to package directions until al dente.
- Drain and set aside.

Brown the sausage
- While the pasta cooks, heat the oil in a large skillet over medium‑high heat.
- Slice the sausages and brown in the hot skillet about 5 minutes until browned around the edges.
- Drain excess fat.

Finish the sauce
- Stir the undrained stewed tomatoes, tomato paste, chicken broth, and drained green beans into the skillet with the sausage.
- Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer about 10 minutes to blend flavors.

Combine and serve
- Stir in the cooked pasta and warm through.
- Sprinkle with shredded provolone or mozzarella and let melt, then serve immediately.
