    Prepare

    • Peel and finely chop the onion.
    • Wash and chop the tomato.

    Brown the meat

    • Brown the ground meat in a skillet over medium-high heat, breaking it up into crumbles.
    • Add the onion and cook until translucent.
    • Drain excess grease if desired.

    Season and simmer

    • Add the chopped tomato and all spices to the browned meat.
    • Stir well, bring to a simmer and cover. Cook 20 minutes over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
    • Add tomato sauce or a splash of water if the mixture becomes too dry.
    • Taste and adjust seasoning before serving.
