Make the dough
- Combine flour, water, oil and 1 tsp salt in a bowl.
- Knead into a smooth dough (about 3–5 minutes).
- Form into a ball, cover and let rest at room temperature for 30 minutes.

Prepare toppings
- Peel and slice the onion into thin rings.
- Cut bacon cubes into smaller pieces if needed.

Assemble and bake
- Roll the rested dough thinly to the size of your baking tray and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Spread crème fraîche evenly over the dough.
- Top with onion rings and bacon, season with pepper if desired.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 220 °C (200 °C fan) for 15–20 minutes until edges are golden and crisp.
