Ingredients

  • 225 gSpaghetti
  • 450 gSausage
  • 75 gOnion
  • 1 tspSalt
  • 1 tspPepper
  • 500 gTomato sauce
  • 250 mlMilk
  • 50 gBasil

Instructions

    Cook pasta

    • Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente.
    • Drain and set aside briefly.

    Brown the sausage

    • While the pasta cooks, brown the sausage in a large pan over medium heat for about 6 minutes until nicely browned and cooked through.

    Add onion and seasoning

    • Add the chopped onion, 1 tsp salt and 1 tsp pepper and cook for another 2 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the onion is soft.

    Finish the sauce

    • Stir in the marinara sauce, milk and chopped basil, and cook for about 2 minutes until heated through.
    • Mix the drained pasta into the sauce so the noodles are well coated.

    Serve

    • Divide the pasta between 4 plates and serve immediately.
