  • 1 pcsTurnip
  • 1 pcsPotato
  • 1 pcsCarrot
  • 1 pcsCelery
  • 1420 mlWater
  • 1 pcsBread
  • 5 gButter

    Cook the vegetables

    • Roughly chop the onion, turnip, peeled potato, carrot and celery.
    • Put the vegetables into a pot with 1420 ml of water and bring to a boil.
    • Simmer over medium heat for 20–30 minutes until the vegetables are tender.

    Serve

    • Toast one slice of bread and spread with butter.
    • Place the bread in a bowl and pour the hot soup over it so the bread soaks slightly. Serve immediately.
