  • 14 gChili powder
  • 10.5 gPaprika powder
  • 160 gOnion
  • 9 gSalt
  • 6 gGarlic
  • 0.5 gPepper flakes
  • 454 gPlant-based ground meat
  • 240 mlWater
  • 400 gTortilla
  • 425 gRefried bean
  • 100 gSalad
  • 150 gTomato
  • 80 gCheddar

Instructions

    Preparation

    • Dice the onion, chop the tomatoes, shred the lettuce and grate the cheese.
    • Mince the garlic.
    • Prepare the tortillas (8 pieces).

    Make the filling

    • Heat a frying pan over medium-low heat and sauté the diced onion until translucent (about 5–7 minutes).
    • Add garlic, chili powder, paprika, salt and red pepper flakes; stir and cook 1 minute until fragrant.
    • Add plant-based crumbles and 240 ml water. Cook on low–medium for 10–15 minutes until most of the water evaporates and the mixture thickens.

    Beans and tortillas

    • Warm the refried beans slowly in a small pot, stirring occasionally.
    • Heat another frying pan over medium heat. Lightly brown each tortilla on both sides (about 20–30 seconds per side).

    Serve

    • Place the vegetarian taco filling and warmed refried beans in bowls on the table.
    • Let guests assemble their own tacos with beans, filling and chosen toppings (lettuce, tomato, cheese).
    • Serve with lime wedges if desired.
