  • 2 pcsEgg
  • 150 mlMilk
  • 20 gButter
  • 300 gQuark
  • 300 gBerry
  • 20 gHoney
  • 0.5 pcsLemon
  • 1 tspVanilla extract
  • 1 tspCinnamon

Instructions

    Simmer berry compote

    • Add berries and lemon juice to a small pot
    • Heat over medium and gently simmer
    • Lightly mash the berries and reduce slightly
    • Stir in honey and keep warm

    Mix quark cream

    • Place quark in a bowl
    • Stir in vanilla and cinnamon
    • Mix until creamy to taste

    Prepare egg mixture

    • Whisk eggs in a bowl
    • Whisk in milk
    • Stir in a pinch of cinnamon

    Soak the bread

    • Briefly dip bread slices into the egg mixture
    • Coat both sides evenly
    • Let drip briefly

    Pan-fry the toast

    • Melt butter in a pan
    • Fry the soaked slices over medium heat
    • Cook both sides until golden
    • Drain briefly on paper towel

    Plate and serve

    • Place the French toast on plates
    • Add the quark alongside
    • Spoon warm berry compote on top
