  • 8 pcsSardine
  • 45 mlOlive oil
  • 3 pcsGarlic
  • 10.7 gBell pepper
  • 0.5 pcsLemon
  • 4 pcsRosemary
  • 1 pcsChili
  • 5.69 gSalt
  • 1.15 gPepper

Instructions

    Marinate

    • Mix olive oil, minced garlic, paprika powder, chopped red chilli, rosemary leaves, salt and pepper in a bowl.
    • Place the sardines in a shallow dish, pour over the marinade and toss to coat evenly. Cover and chill for at least 1–2 hours, preferably 2–4 hours.

    Grill and serve

    • Preheat a barbecue or grill pan until very hot.
    • Grill the sardines 4–5 minutes per side until nicely caramelised and charred.
    • Transfer to a serving plate, drizzle with remaining olive oil, sprinkle a little more paprika and squeeze lemon wedges over before serving.
